SEO Strategy For New Websites

1-Keyword research is very important.
Choosing the right keywords will spell the success of your website. And this would usually go hand in hand with your market research. Why? Because you will have a better idea on what keywords to aim for if you know what your target market will be using to search for your website or whatever product you are offering to them. And do not forget to aim for the long tail keywords, key phrases that are three or more words.
2-Get the right domain name.
Your domain name is your web address. It is what people will often type (if they already know it beforehand) so they can visit your website. Because of this, it is important that you carefully select your domain name. There are some best practices for this and the main one is to choose a domain that is easy to remember and easy to spell. The last thing you want is for your customers to misspell your domain name and visit another website instead of yours. Also, it is a good thing if your domain includes your main keyword. This is called the exact match domain and SEO experts claim that you will get a certain advantage in rankings if you get such a domain.
3-Keyword placement
One of the most important parts of any SEO strategy is the keyword placement. This is the main thing that we call on page optimization and is really crucial to the overall success of your website. There are certain places that are considered the best locations for your keywords The most essential one is the title tag. Many search engine optimization experts say that this alone can help make your site rank, of course granted that everything else remains equal. The navigation bar is also a good place to put your keywords, after all each is pointing to a specific page or post. And do not forget the meta description. While it is an outdated practice, people can read it in the search results and convince them to click on the link.
4-Set up Google Analytics.
If you want to properly monitor the progress of your website, you will need to install an analytics program to it or subscribe to one. The current king of site analytics is Google Analytics. It is very easy to use, just open a Google account (the same thing for your Gmail) and install the analytics code to your website. Then wait for at least one whole day until it can start to gather site data. With it you can see which of your posts or web pages are most popular, how many visitors you are getting each day, your bounce rate as well.
These are some of the basic steps that you should include in your own SEO strategy when you are creating a new website. And since no two websites or online businesses are the same, you are expected to make your own changes or additions to these processes.
